Here are the felting instructions on how Wool Around the World uses it.
Wool Around the World’s Felting Guidelines

These instructions are how “We” at Wool Around the World use this machine to felt.

1. Place your knitted project into the machine.

2. Use a bucket to pour warm/hot water into the machine until the water covers your project
completely a minimum of 2 inches. Do not put in to much water or felting will take longer.

3. Add a ½ teaspoon (approx.) of liquid detergent.
(we use A.L.L. laundry detergent or whatever is the cheapest)

(PLEASE NOTE ALL WOOL FELTS DIFFERENTLY)
(We have used this for Wool Pak yarns)

4. Turn timer to desired time.
(Small Item: 10 mins )
(Medium - Large Item: 15-20 mins)
(X-Large Item: 20-30 mins)

5. After time then add 1 tablespoon (approx.) of fabric softner to dissolve bubbles.

6. Turn the timer on for a few minutes more to dissolve bubbles.
but keep checking those last few minutes until project is felted to your satisfaction.

7. Take your project out of the water, holding it over the machine hand squeeze the water out, then roll it in a towel to remove excess water (we step on our towels with our projects wrapped inside to get the water out) then shape, block, and let dry.

8. Using the hose attached to the back of the machine lower the end into the bucket to drain the
water from the machine. We also use a small fish net (at Wal-Mart for $0.67) to scoop the left over fibers out of the machine to save for needle felting. OR Let the water drain through the net into the bucket to collect the left over fibers.

9. It’s always a good idea to rinse out your machine with a small amount of clean water.

Summer Is Here

After a slow and uncomplicated weekend.. it seemed Memorial Weekend was just a calm passing of time. For me its officially SUMMER!!! yay.. All I can think about is tanning, swimming, barbque's, sweating like a pig, cursing as you wait to cool the car down, yardwork (which I hate) lol, fun movies, snowcones late at night, and of course the bugs ewwwww..
Definately lots to look forward to this summer. Does anyone have something special planned? I really don't just gonna enjoy it as long as it lasts. I do think I feel the need to start focusing on fall and winter projects though because lets face it 3 months and we are in september if you think about it.. NO TIME AT ALL *lol*

I do notice that there tends to be alot more "cool knits" in the summer months so I am sharing the Knitted Dish Scrubbie
http://berlinswhimsy.typepad.com/berlins_whimsy/2008/05/knitted-kitchen-scrubbie-tutorial.html
what's fun about this scrubbie is you knit your cotton yarn along with some tulle fabric that is cut up to make it extra scrubbie

I have been working on a UFO project that has been sitting on the needles long enough hopefully I will finish it within the next few days (crosses fingers).

My long awaited book is finally coming out tomorrow!! yayyy I'll be going to the bookstore first thing.. to buy "Blood Noir" by Laurell K Hamilton.. its the Anita Blake series..The bad thing is I have no self control I will read it within the day then I will have to wait another year for the next book.. that is how it is for alot of my book series of course a few of the authors will release 2 a year or release books to other series but your still waiting *lol* But thank god they keep spitting those books out I would be a nutcase without them.

Oh update my sweet dog GiGi was groomed today and she is so adorable if not a bit feisty!.

I finally watched a couple movies that have been on my list:

"P.S. I love you" I have to admit I cried in a few places ok more than a few, but I did enjoy the movie the actors/actresses were perfect. It was an interesting story and it touches the heart.

"Juno" I kept hearing what a great movie this was and always I just kept looking at it like no way. Well finally watched it last night. I have to say the main character Juno captured my attention from beginning to end.. loved her character, the story itself I am sure hits close to home to all of us teen mothers yeah I was a teen when I had my gorgeous child. But this movie was funny, and gives us alot of things to think about.

"Indiana Jones" was wonderful they stayed true to form as in all the other indiana jones movies and felt like it belonged in the series. Brought back fun memories and Harrison Ford was perfect as always and Shiloh played great as well.. Definately going to be added to my collection.

Very Interesting "Billion"

My cousin Kathy emailed this to me and I just had to share

PLEASE NOTE: This is an email that was fowarded from various others. I am just sharing something that was passed onto me.

What is a BILLION??

This is too true to be funny
The next time you hear a politician use the word 'billion' in a casual manner, think about whether you want that 'politician' spending YOUR tax money.

A billion is a difficult number to comprehend, but one advertising agency did a good job of putting that figure into some perspective in one of its releases.

A. A billion seconds ago it was 1959.

B. A billion minutes ago Jesus was alive.

C. A billion hours ago our ancestors were living in the Stone Age.

D. A billion days ago no-one walked on the earth on two feet.

E. A billion dollars ago was only 8 hours and 20 minutes, at the rate our government is spending it.

While this thought is still fresh in our brain, let's take a look at New Orleans It's amazing what you can learn with some simple division

Louisiana Senator, Mary Landrieu (D), is asking the Congress for $250 BILLION to rebuild New Orleans. Interesting number, what does it mean?

A. Well, if you are one of 484,674 residents of New Orleans (every man, woman, child), you each get $516,528.

B. Or, if you have one of the 188,251 homes in New Orleans , your home gets $1,329,787.

C. Or, if you are a family of four, your family gets $2,066,012.

Washington, D.C .. HELLO!!! ... Are all your calculators broken??

STILL THINK THIS IS FUNNY?
Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago,
and our nation was the most prosperous in the world.
We had absolutely no national debt, had the largest middle class in the world, and Mom stayed home to raise the kids.

What happened? Can you spell 'politicians!'

And I still have to "press 1" for English.

I hope this goes around THE
USA at least 100 times

What the heck happened?????
